Wow. What a year, right? Leo won his Oscar, Michelle Obama participated in Carpool Karaoke, Pokemon Go enjoyed its five minutes of fame, and Finding Dory came out, amongst various other world issues and political surprises. You might be glad to see that momentous year in your review mirror, or you’re sad to see it go. Regardless, it’s 2017 now , and it’s time to assess the blessings that it brought.
The world of fragrance also celebrated a busy year. What follows is last year in review – our favourite perfumes we can thank 2016 for.
- My Burberry Black
My Burberry Black by Burberry was one of PCC’s best-selling fragrances last year. Why? It is PERFECT. This full-bodied fragrance is comprised of jasmine, patchouli, candied roses, and peach nectar, and demands attention. This amber liquid is the shot of confidence you need in the morning.
2. Dior J’Adore Eau Lumiere Eau De Toilette
Lil’ ol’ J’Adore is no more. Instead, we have J’Adore Eau Lumiere, the spring edition of the iconic Dior staple favourite. This scent is filled with light and joy, made up of vanilla, magnolia, lemon and rose, anchored by sandalwood.
3. Chloe Fleur Eau De Parfum
This scent is a flower in its full bloom. This powdery, rose-inspired fragrance is one of 2016’s biggest achievements in the perfume world and is exactly how you’d expect a new scent by Chloe to smell: understated, elegant, and full of life.
4. Giorgio Armani Code Profumo
It’s finally happened. For the first time, Eau De Parfums are becoming the potency du jour for men. Previously reserved almost exclusively for women, Eau De Parfums are concentrated and lasting due to their composition. Last year, Giorgio Armani blazed the trail for men all over the world by releasing Code Profumo, a concentrated nod to crowd favourite Armani Code.
5. Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Profumo
The man is nothing if he isn’t consistent. Acqua Di Gio Profumo now exists for the man who prefers to wear less to say more. Di Gio Profumo is ultimate masculinity.
